A new Temple bridge over Interstate 35 opens today.

The 57th Street Bridge will open to traffic following a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m.

The new bridge will connect the east and west sides of the highway between West Adams and Central avenues and southern Loop 363.

The ribbon cutting ceremony, which will feature city of Temple and Texas Department of Transportation officials, will be open to the public. Parking is available at Clem Mikeska’s Bar-B-Q, 217 S. 57th St.
