|  Step into a little bit of Germany on Saturday, November 7th, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Copperas Cove, where there will be a feast for the senses at the annual “German Sausagefest”. Smell the aroma of authentic German-style smoked sausage, which has grown famous in these parts. The smoke house SECRET sausage is a labor of love and prepared to perfection according to a time-honored recipe. Savor a dinner of “old-world” German favorites that include the renowned sausage along with potato salad, sauerkraut, home fries, green beans, broetchen and delicious desserts. Listen to music from a live band that will add to the “Freundlich und Gemutlich” (cheerful and cozy) themes of the day. Sausagefest dinners are $5.00 for children and $7.50 for adults. Take out dinners will be available. In addition, the sausage will be offered in bulk sales at $5.50, a pound and are a much-loved favorite of discerning hunters of the area. |

|  “The Grand Ole Gospel Sing,” composed of over 40 singers and musicians will present a night of toe-tapping, foot-stomping, hand-clapping and voice-raising gospel music at First Baptist Church, Cameron, Texas on Saturday night, November 7th, at 6:00 p.m.
The performing groups, all from Central Texas,consists of four quartets, three soloists, a trio of sisters called The Kelly Girls. Another special feature is Bill Clark, instrumental soloist on the trumpet from Frisco, Texas. One of our regular features on the program is a fully choreographed presentation by The Steel Magnolias, a ladies singing group, ages 38-92. The Steel Magnolias were just put into the first round of voting for a nomination to the 2009 Grammy Awards.
Mark Collins presents a character portrayal of George Washington - it's a riveting performance.
The pastor at First Baptist Church Cameron, Gary Maroney, invites the public to attend “The Grand Ole Gospel Sing.” There is no admission charge for the two-hour concert and there will be NO love offering taken.
We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy a great evening of singing. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the Praise Band, Gone Fishin’, presenting a 20 minute mini- concert before the main program begins. Come early and get a good seat.

| The annual Miss Mary Hardin-Baylor Pageant is set for Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7, at 7.00 p.m. in W.W Walton Chapel on campus. The theme of this year’s pageant is “A Night in Morocco.”
Friday evening, talent performances will be judged on creativity, originality, preparedness, appropriateness of props and costumes, confidence on stage, and overall presentation. Saturday evening, contestants will be judged in evening gown and interview competition. In the interview competition, judges will consider personality, self-confidence, diction and sincerity.
General admission to the pageant is $10 for both nights and $7 for one night.
