featured events The 6th annual Day for Women presented by the Temple Daily Telegram will be on Saturday, February 20 at the Frank W. Mayborn Civic & Convention Center. This exciting event sponsored by H-E-B, Precious Memories, and Kayla’s Hallmark, will begin at 10 am and end at 5 pm. The event will feature a catered luncheon from 12 pm – 1 pm with D’Anne Willis. Ms. Willis is an inspirational speaker that will present “My Life: A Mixed Bag”, a musical and fun (sometimes tough) look into the experience of a two-time breast cancer survivor.
In the afternoon, PROM is in the air. Georgio's Bridal & Formalwear will put on a style show featuring this year’s hottest prom fashions. Then meet Johnathan Kayne, fashion designer, finalist on “Project Runway” season 3 and star of TLC’s “Gown Crazy”. After browsing over 50 vendor booths, get an autograph or photo taken with Kayne.
Tickets go on sale Monday, January 18. Tickets will be available at the Temple Daily Telegram (10 South 3rd Street), online at www.tdtnews.com, Precious Memories (1404 South 31st Street), Kayla’s Hallmark (Temple Mall or Market Loop Shopping Center). Tickets to attend the luncheon are $20 and include admission to all exhibits. General admission is $10. Tickets will be available at the door.
Door prizes will be given away throughout the event.

|  TANGO “The Dance of Passion” - It Takes TWO to TANGO - PARTNERS REQUIRED - All Tuesdays of February. There is still time to sign up. If you have missed a lesson, arrive 30 minutes early and catch up. Steps are suitable for beginners or intermediate dancers. We always have time to answer any questions and we have one-on-one assistance available. Time is given near the end of class to practice what you have learned. $25 each for the whole month.
