Carter takes post office issue to House floor

Uproar over the Postal Service’s decision to close the South Temple post office reached the floor of the U.S. House where Rep. John Carter spoke about the issue Tuesday morning. “This is just plain wrong,” Carter, R-Round Rock, said during representatives’ general comments. “Rest assured I will fight this nonsense and try to get this office left open.”
