Tem-Cats grind to avenge loss to Ellison, win seventh straight to share second in 12-5A

Cathleen Liss-Farrow has been part of plenty of big games during her high school basketball career. She’s been on the floor for victories over top-10 teams and helped engineer a District 12-5A home winning streak that now spans more than two years.

And while Friday night might not have ranked among her prettiest or most prolific efforts, the Temple senior wouldn’t have traded her home-court finale for anything.

“I’m proud of all of my teammates,” Liss-Farrow said. “(They’ve) been behind me the whole time, and I couldn’t ask for anything better. I think I ended my senior year with a bang.”

Exacting revenge for a Jan. 10 loss at Killeen Ellison, Liss-Farrow and the Tem-Cats outlasted the Lady Eagles in a hard-fought, physical battle, coming away with a 48-41 win at Wildcat Gym, their seventh straight district victory.
