Riveting victories. Painful defeats. Crucial injuries to leading players. Forfeited wins. Suspensions. Brilliant performances. Frustrating inconsistency.
Welcome to the roller-coaster ride that is the 2011-12 Temple College men’s basketball season.
Fortunately for coach Kirby Johnson and his Leopards, Wednesday night’s critical situation concluded on an upward trajectory.
Brandon Thompson scored a game-best 28 points and Temple made enough vital plays in the closing minutes to stave off winless-in-conference Southwestern Christian College for an 88-83 win at TC Gym that snapped the Leopards’ three-game losing streak in league play.
