BELTON — A Belton shopper will soon be able to make it rain money.
A winning ticket for the $16 million Lotto Texas jackpot was sold at Longhorn Drive In Grocery, 2218 Holland Road in Belton, the Texas Lottery Commission tweeted on Sunday.
The winning numbers for Sunday’s jackpot were 3-9-13-25-30-51.
The winner has not been disclosed.
Grocery owner Hanif Moin said selling the winning ticket is a good surprise.
Longhorn Drive In Grocery sells a lot of lottery tickets, Moin and his sales associate Majid Shabbir said.
“We don’t know who the lucky winner is, but someone won from this store,” Shabbir said. “We really appreciate everybody who comes here and who spends money with us. We take care of everybody.”
Shabbir said he sees lots of winners buy scratch tickets at the South Belton store.
“The best thing about our store is our lottery is going good,” he said.
While the winner is not known just yet, Moin would like for one thing to happen when that person comes forward to claim their prize.
“I hope the winner comes back and gives some money to my employee who sold this ticket,” he said.
The store will receive 1 percent of the jackpot for selling the winning ticket, according to the Texas Lottery Commission.
The winner has 180 days to claim their prize, according to the commission.
