The Texas Bioscience Institute Middle College program will hold an open house on Wednesday for prospective students and their parents.

TBI’s Middle College program offers high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to earn up to two years of college credit focused on science, technology, engineering and math before they graduate from high school. Classes are held on the Baylor Scott & White West Temple campus located at 5701 Airport Road.

The open house will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is open to students from all area high schools, as well as home-schooled students. Visitors will have an opportunity to tour the facility, talk with TBI personnel and obtain information on applying for admission for the 2019-2020 year.

Since it was established in 2006, the TBI Middle College program has enabled more than 600 students to earn a STEM-focused associate degree from Temple College while they are still in high school. Many TBI graduates have gone on to pursue successful careers in medicine or science.
