Temple's One-Act Play theater students

Temple High School placed fifth in the state One-Act Play competition Thursday.

The school competed in the University Interscholastic League 6A division this year, as opposed to the 5A division last year. The competition was held in Round Rock.

Seth Little was named to the State All-Star Cast, and Sierra Amalbert was named to the State Honorable Mention All-Star Cast.

This year, Temple High entered a performance of “Baby with the Bathwater.” The school theater troupe will schedule a final performance of the show at a later date.

The state champion show was “Medea,” performed by Central High School in Keller. Bush High School in Fort Bend took second place with a performance of “In the Blood,” and Carnegie Vanguard High School in Houston came in third with “Things I Know to Be True.”
