Saturday and Sunday are the final days of the 2019 Parade of Homes.

Residents looking for new homes can check out the event, sponsored by the Temple Area Builders Association.

The event — held Saturday through Sunday — features 26 houses from 19 builders. Homes shown in the parade are located in Temple, Belton, Morgan’s Point Resort, Salado, Buckholts and Troy.

In 2018, nearly 700 new homes were built in Temple. Projections call for about 700 to 750 new homes to be built each year over the next five to six years, according to a demographic study commissioned by the city.

That amount of homebuilding will help Temple exceed 91,000 residents by 2023 and reach 100,000 residents by about 2029, according to the study.

Developers are offering a variety of homes and models as building continues.

Homes featured in the Parade of Homes will vary in style and pricing, with houses ranging from as low as $195,000 to luxury homes costing more than $700,000.

In addition to the homebuilders at the event, there will be those who can help participants fix up their homes with new additions or new styles.

The Parade highlights the newest trends in construction, interior and exterior design, and landscaping within the local area.

“Whether you are looking to buy, build or just want to get some decorating ideas, the Parade is an excellent opportunity to experience a wide range of homes with unique styles and features in some of the top neighborhoods in Bell County,” Ryan Waldron, the chair of the event for 2019, said in a release.

Houses shown at the Parade will be open to from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets cost $5. Admission is free for children younger than 12.
