C&H Diecasting, a Troy-based manufacturer of high pressure aluminum diecastings for automotive, heating and air conditioning, diesel engines and other industrial markets, recently signed a deal with Michigan-based investment firm Anderton Industries. As part of the deal C&H Diescastings will be rebranded as Anderton Castings.

The rebranding comes weeks after C&H Diecastings was cited for 15 serious health and safety violations by the federal Occupational Health and Safety Administration.

After a September 2014 inspection, the agency levied $66,000 in penalties on Jan. 5 and gave C&H 15 business days to either pay the fines, request an informal conference with OSHA or contest the findings of the inspection.

The penalties handed down in January were not the first received by C&H Diescasting. In February 2013, OSHA fined the company $112,000 for 30 serious health and safety violations, including using spliced electrical cords which subjected employees to electrical shocks.

In the September inspection. OSHA found workers still being exposed to electrical shocks, which led to a fine for repeated violations.
