The Belton Independent School District Big Red Art Show will run Monday through Friday at the Harris Community Center with BISD student artwork displayed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A reception for students and the community will also be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

On Tuesday, U.S. Congressman John Carter will visit the Career and Technical Education building at Belton High School to tour the facility and present two students with Congressional CTE Awards.

The district will celebrate a major milestone in the construction of Lake Belton High School during a special “Topping-Out” ceremony beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday. One of the final steel beams for the main campus entry way will be hoisted into place following a BBQ lunch and short program in the campus gym. The beam that will be hoisted into place during the ceremony will be available for guests and members of our community to sign Friday morning, as well as the Thursday before the event. From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 25, future Broncos, parents and community members are invited to sign the beam on site to become a permanent part of Lake Belton High School.

Belton High School

Color Guard tryouts will take place from 4:30-7 p.m. Monday through Friday in the BHS small gym.

The Marching 100 spring training starts from 5-8 p.m. Monday at BHS.

The Annual JROTC Awards Program will take place from 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Belton High Performing Arts Center.

The first-ever Belton ISD CTE High School Career Fair is from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Friday at the BHS Small Gym. The fair is an opportunity to showcase viable career options for students to consider as they begin the transition from high school to the job world. Local, state and national businesses will be represented, as well as the branches of the military.

The BHS pre-prom will take place from 1-3 p.m. Friday.

The BHS JV Theatre Spring Show takes place from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday in the Little Theatre

The Jr./Sr. Prom is set for 8 p.m. Saturday at the Bell County Expo Center.

Belton New Tech High @ Waskow

The annual campout for freshman enrollment starts 5 p.m. Friday at the Wilson Kerzee Field.

Application submissions will be collected from 8-9 a.m. Saturday on the main campus porch. In the event of inclement weather, the location for the campout will be the Belton Early Childhood School Gymnasium.

Lake Belton Middle School

The LBMS seventh and eighth grade solo and ensemble contest is from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday.

North Belton Middle School

Dance Team tryouts will take place from 4-5 p.m. Monday through Friday in the NBMS gym.

Chisholm Trail Elementary School

On Friday, community members will visit our fourth- and fifth-graders for Career Day and share details about their different careers.

Miller Heights Elementary School

Kindergarten graduation photos are Tuesday.

A first grade performance and PTA meeting will take place in the cafeteria from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday.

Pirtle Elementary

Come for the fun and stay for the adventure of “The Jungle Book” fifth-grade musical from 6-7 p.m. Thursday evening.

Sparta Elementary School

On Monday, second graders will perform the musical “Circus Circus” at the BHS Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m.

Tarver Elementary School

The annual Tarver spring carnival will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday.

Belton Early Childhood School

On Wednesday, students will spend time with local business members and community helpers during Career Day. This will take place during morning instructional time to enhance current curriculum.
