Georgia Ann Navratil
Georgia Ann Navratil, age 97, of Temple, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at a local care center.
A graveside service will take place on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 11:00am at the Floca Memorial Pavilion at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Navratil was born on May 20, 1921 to Rudolf and Millie Bartek Lesikar in the Oscar Community. She attended the Little Elm School in Oscar and Temple High School. At that time she met Ladis Navratil and they were married on March 18, 1939. They had one daughter, JoAnn Navratil Baugh Lathon.
Georgia was a former member of the Seaton Brethren Church and a longtime member of Temple Brethren both at which see was active as a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Christian Sisters. She had also been a member of the Home Extension Club “Tanglefoot Club”. She had previously been involved in the Sportsman Club and the Girl Scouts. She was a perfectionist seamstress and could sew anything - making quilts, afghans, Barbie Doll clothes, and dresses for her daughter and nieces.
Georgia loved to cook, bake and loved her flower gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ladis, and her daughter JoAnn.
She is survived by her sister Ruth Kohutek of Temple, nieces, Karen Beeler and husband Mike of Yukon, OK and Donna McEntire and husband Larry of Temple.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Christian Sisters of Temple Brethren Church, 2202 Birdcreek Dr. Temple, Texas 76502 would be appreciated.
