Whitney Lorane Balentine
Whitney Lorane Balentine passed away on June 25th, 2019. She was born to Thomas and Paula Balentine in Glendale Arizona on December 14, 1989.
Whitney cherished solitude and enjoyed a quiet life at home with her family. She adored her parents and had a special bond with her little sister.
A gentle soul, she cherished every living thing that crossed her path. She had many pets throughout her life that she spoiled, but she also loved to nurture the plants in her garden as well. She was a voracious reader who loved fantasy fiction novels in particular. Her next biggest hobby was knitting, which she had a serious talent for. She hand crafted many gorgeous pieces for her friends and family over the years. She also loved her time in the Temple Wildcat band playing the baritone, which taught her the value of discipline and joy of music.
She was a joy to her loved ones and was sweet and easygoing all the days of her life. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her best friend and father, Thomas Balentine; and paternal grandparents Irene and Archie Balentine.
She is survived by her mother Paula Balentine; and maternal grandparents Elinor and Merrill Maahs; brother & sisters Kimberly (Tom) Lockery, Toni (Rich) Stodden, Beverly (Tracy) Nies, Aaron (Rachel) Balentine, and Jennifer (Michael) Bremer; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service for Whitney will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home in Temple.
