2009 Bell County Spelling Bee
The Temple Daily Telegram’s 79th Annual Bell County Spelling
Bee will be held on March 14 at the Mary Alice Marshal Performing
Arts Center at Temple College. There are over twenty area schools
that have indicated that they would like to participate
in the contest. |
Teacher Workshop
This year’s Newspapers In Education workshop will be held
on September 19 at the Temple College Pavilion.
The cost of the workshop is $20.00 and lunch will be catered. The
deadline for sign-up is September 5, 2009. Please call 778-4444

Golden Apple Awards
You may nominate a teacher who has inspired you to achieve your
goals by writing a letter to the Temple Daily Telegram. We would
like you to explain how this teacher had a positive impact on
your life. Tell us how they created a stimulating classroom and
how they motivated you to success. Five teachers will be selected
from those nominated. Each selected teacher will receive an engraved
plaque, a Certificate of Merit, and recognition at a reception
on May12 at the Telegram facility. Also, stories and photos will
be run May 11-15 in the Telegram. Please mail letters of nomination
