<title>3 Free Performances of Christian Ventriloquist Nancy Burks Worcester</title>
   <link>http://www.tdtnews.com/events/event.php?id=1162</link>
<description>Has the economic downturn busted your family entertainment budget? Then Lorena United Methodist Church and Mooreville United Methodist Church once again invite you to their churches on Sunday November 29th for a free performance from acclaimed ventriloquist Nancy Burks Worcester and her friends, including Waco the Weasel and Larry the Crocodile. These three free performances promise to entertain with Christian values and storytelling, and lots of laughter. Anyone is invited to attend Nancy’s shows at 8:30 &amp; 10:45 AM at Lorena UMC, and at 7:00 PM at Mooreville UMC.

Lorena United Methodist Church pastor Christie Robbins stated, “With so much to worry about today, we feel it is crucial to provide quality entertainment, that includes God’s message of transformation and hope free for our communities.” Her husband Joel Robbins, the pastor of nearby Mooreville United Methodist Church agreed, “Nancy always delivers a positive Christian message in a fun and lighthearted way through song, story, and of course her cast of characters.”

Nancy Burks Worcester is a highly acclaimed actress, ventriloquist and storyteller who has performed across the nation. She is the co-author and co-star of an award-winning television program “The Nana Puddin’ Show” airing nationwide, and author and star of “That Safety Show!” produced in conjunction with the Carrollton, Texas Fire Department. The author of several books of scripts for ventriloquists, she also has a story included in Best Tales Told at the Texas Storytelling Festival. Her stories include personal tales, classics, and fairy tales as well as original stories for children. She has appeared as a storyteller at the Texas Storytelling Festival, the Texas Book Festival, Louisiana’s Bayou Tales, the American School in Tampico, Mexico, and many other venues. An accomplished ventriloquist (a skill she learned as an adult), Nancy’s partners include a crocodile named Larry, weasels Waco and Lily, Amy-Amanda, a teenaged zebra cheerleader, and Jane Goodall, a lively chimpanzee. She performs over 300 concert dates a year for schools, churches and other groups, and has taught workshops on her craft to groups of firefighters, teachers and ministers from New York to California. The mother of grown children as well as several foam ones, Nancy lives in Granbury with her firefighter husband, Lt. Terry Worcester where they are members of the Granbury First United Methodist Church.

Nancy will perform in the 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM services of worship at Lorena United Methodist Church. In between the two services of worship, a free brunch at 9:30 AM is open to all as well. Nancy will remain in the area to perform at Mooreville United Methodist Church at 7 PM on Sunday November 30th.
