Different place, same result: Copperas Cove dominates Temple girls again, 53-36

Tuesday night was supposed to be all about the Temple Tem-Cats.
It was their chance to show how much they’ve grown in the past eight days, winning four of five games. It offered them a chance to avenge a 51-36 loss to host Copperas Cove at the Bush’s Chicken Holiday Classic last Wednesday. Most important, it gave them an opportunity to make a statement that they will be a factor in the District 12-5A girls basketball race.

BELTON - The Belton Tigers knew that the Harker Heights Knights scored 91 points in their last game, and 31 of those came from Delante Stephens.
They also knew that if the Knights and Stephens had a similar performance Tuesday, then the Tigers would be in for a long night.

MIAMI - It used to be so simple.
Two polls, a few bowls and - in the end - a national champion, maybe two.
