HOUSTON — Mary Hardin-Baylor shot a 328 on Wednesday and was in 16th place at 660 after the second round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championships. The Crusaders were four shots better than the 332 they posted in the first round, but still dropped from 15th to 16th.

New York moved ahead six spots in the second round to take first place with a 302 second-round score and a 613 overall. After the first three days, the field will be whittled to 15 teams for the final round.

Methodist remained in second place with a 307 for a 614 total and Williams (615) and Claremont Mudd Scripps (618) remained in striking distance at third and fourth, respectively. Carleton stayed in the top five with a 622.

Olivia Robinson paced UMHB with a seven-over 79 after posting a 15-over 87 on Tuesday. Victoria Gleghorn shot an 80 and Cassidy Rawls finished with a second-round score of 83. Jade Ming (86) and Annie Hasselbach (88) rounded out UMHB’s card.
