Big guys in the trenches pave way for high-powered Yoemen

CAMERON — Cameron Yoe had some question marks on its offensive line heading into the season. Only two starters — right guard Kylen Harrell and right tackle Jonathan McAnulty — returned from last year’s unit that helped lead the Yoemen to a state championship.

“We had those two guys coming back, but we needed to find somebody who could come in and take the place of the other guys that we lost from last year,” Yoe coach Rick Rhoades said. “A.J. Harwell actually started one game for us last year at center and did a great job, so we knew that A.J. could do it.
