Postseason begins for TC hoop

Joey Tate, Andre Jackson, and David Koonsen are about as different as three basketball players can be. But together, the sophomores hope to lead Temple College to the National Junior College Athletic Association Region V championship in Lubbock this weekend. The first step on that journey will be to defeat the No. 13 ranked Midland Chaparrals in the opening game of the tournament today at noon. The Temple College women will begin its playoff journey on Friday at 4:30 p.m. Like the men, the Lady Leopards face Midland College in the opening round of the tournament. While Tate, Jackson and Koonsen comprise an unlikely triumvirate, their individual outstanding traits have helped mold the team.
