Three years ago, Joey Tate came to Temple College and asked basketball coach Kirby Johnson about being a walk-on. Now, after three years of hard work, Tate signed a letter of intent on Wednesday to continue his basketball career with the University of Texas-Pan American Broncs. Tate, who played post in high school, was overlooked by college recruiters and had to redshirt his first year at Temple College.
