Temple College welcomed another friendly, aid-rendering face to its growing staff when Todd Hively slid into the newly opened position of reference librarian.Hively received his masters degree in library science from the University of Texas in '96, and has been with the college since Feb. 14.Helping students is his primary responsibility."Basically my job is to help patrons get the information that they're looking for," Hively said. "A lot of it is just becoming familiar with the collection and knowing what's available."Temple College's director of library services, Kathy Fulton, said that Hively is a welcome addition to a growing department."This was so important to the library to get this position," she said. "Temple College has grown so much, we have so many more people to deal with."Ms. Fulton said that the library has never had a full-time reference librarian, now patrons will be able to enjoy expanded service. by Eric Guel
