Wildcat banquet tonight

While it might not have been a season to cherish, the Temple Wildcats will celebrate their 2000 football season tonight at the Frank W. Mayborn Civic and Convention Center. The banquet, catered by Al's Bar-B-Q Barn, will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and will be available at the high school athletic office until 2 p.m., and later at the door of the Mayborn Center. The Temple Quarterback Club, is sponsoring the event, which will feature former NFL great and Milam County resident Jack Pardee as its featured speaker. Several team awards will be presented, such as the Quarterback Club's George Johnson Scholarship, along with a video memento of the Wildcats' 3-7 season, their first under head coach David Beal.
