Records can be deceiving, and so can final scores. That was the case on Saturday at TC Gym in Temple College's basketball doubleheader against conference lightweight Southwestern Christian College. The SWCC men and women had gone a combined 5-37 overall and 2-18 in the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference entering the twinbill, and neither was expected to put up much resistance against TC's squads. However, the Rams and Lady Rams didn't allow the home teams to record wins without first having to endure some anxious moments. TC's women were sluggish in the early game, but they used an overpowering blitz in the final nine minutes to pull away from SWCC and win 74-42. TC's men had their offensive machine running at peak efficiency in the late game, but the Rams had enough offensive firepower to make the Leopards sweat out a 115-102 win
