When the hectic schedule of being a percussionist, college instructor and all-around musician begins to overwhelm, Dr. Stephen Crawford can sometimes slow down and enjoy the outdoors with his family or hone his technique as quite the masterful gourmet cook. "Cooking is like composing," he said. "You can copy the recipe or follow recipes for a certain time until you develop your own style." Crawford serves as director of bands and percussion studies at Temple College and will have two of his percussion compositions published by Honey Rock Publishing Company.
