AUSTIN (AP)When the clocks struck 12:01 a.m. today, Texas shoppers were given a three-day holiday from local and state sales tax.Throughout the weekend, Aug. 2-4, no sales tax will be charged on most clothing and footwear priced under $100.Stores and area business have spent the past few weeks preparing for the crowds they are expecting to take advantage of the break before the school year starts.
