CAC fund-raising campaign will finance expansion
The Cultural Activities Center is embarking on a capital fund-raising campaign to build a $1.5 million addition onto the Azalee Marshall building at 3011 N. 3rd St. The new wing, which will connect to the building through a foyer to the Helen Scott Saulsbury Gallery, will add 9,600 square feet of performance and exhibition space to the 33,484-square-foot center. The addition will house a 5,500-square-foot grand room, which will have a portable stage and seat 490 auditorium-style or 275 for dinner-dances, and the 1,760-square-foot Durward and Jean Howard Gallery
