Lewis, Carter reasons why Ravens, Vikings should make Big One

I've got to admit I like this scenario for Super Bowl XXXV: the Baltimore Ravens' superb defense trying to stop the ever-explosive Minnesota Vikings offense. You can read all of the breakdowns on the conference championship teams in stories throughout the section, so there's no need repeating the all the intangibles and stats here. The Vikings are slight favorites to beat the host Giants, while the Ravens are one-touchdown underdogs to pull off the upset at Oakland. However, a few tidbits are worth mentioning. Such as the fact that Ravens owner Art Modell has never had one of his teams get to the Big One. The way he treated Cleveland, do you think he ever deserves to? I say forgive and forget, but then again, I don't live near Lake Erie. How about that a win over the Giants today would put Minnesota in pro football's giant finale for a fifth time? And, 30 years after their first appearance, the Vikings would be seeking their first win. By Will Wright
