News Fearful feline freed; TXU employee rescues catA gray cat caused havoc on Friday when it climbed up an electric power-line pole in an alley between 29th and 31st streets in Temple and refused to come down. "My girlfriend was outside hanging laundry when she heard a cat howling," said Steve Aragon. The cat ran up the pole to get away from neighborhood dogs, according to Aragon. Aragon called 911 to get someone to come out and rescue the stranded animal, but was informed there was no one available. As the day went on more neighbors became involved in trying to rescue the stranded cat. Several hours later, the Temple Fire Department arrived to aid in rescuing the cat. |
