Temple can lay claim as the home to a new celebrity, although the assertion of residency goes back a few years.Brandon Don Quinton, who this week emerged in the fashion glare brought about by reality television, is one of 16 contestants in the third edition of CBS Television's "Survivor" series to be shown beginning Oct. 11.Quinton attended the sixth, seventh and eighth grades at Travis Middle School from 1987 to 1990.Many of his teachers at Travis have retired or moved to other places, but a few are still around. And the news that a former student was a soon-to-be television celebrity sent some instructors scurrying for old yearbooks to see what they could recall about him.Retired teacher Patty Huffman Ross said that she could not remember Quinton without first finding a yearbook to look at his picture.
