Tractor Show this weekend

As America was being settled, a sure sign of civilization was the presence of a town with a church and a school.The Early Day Tractor and Engine Association showgrounds now boasts a little one-room school house and a Swedish Evangelical Free Church to go with the historic farm houses, dentist's office, General Store cotton gin and other structures representative of the days of yore.The association will hold its 30th annual show on Saturday and Sunday, starting at 9 a.m. each day, at the 48-acre showgrounds on Eberhardt Road.There will be a parade of McCormick red, John Deere green and Case orange each day at 1 p.m. as part of a tractor parade.The opening ceremonies will feature a rendition of the "National Anthem" by Leroy Schiller and a posting of the colors. by Clay Coppedge
