Temple Mayor Keifer Marshall Jr. announced Wednesday that he does not plan to seek another term."This has been a special council and we've had a good run and gotten a lot done," Marshall said as he announced his intentions to the other council members in a morning workshop at the Municipal Building. "I don't plan to run for another term."Until becoming mayor in 1998, Marshall served on the City Council for eight years from District 1, which covers most of north Temple, including the Historic District."It's been a pleasure and an honor to be mayor for two terms and on the council for more than 10 years," he said after the meeting. "I think things are going really well in Temple and are going to continue. We have a great group of city employees and they do a great job." by Anna Foster
