Central Texas has its share of pledges

After months of speculation, soul-searching and everything else that goes into picking a college, decision day arrived for the area's high school football players.Twenty-seven area players signed with colleges across the nation on Wednesday, the first day recruits could sign with colleges. Five players signed with Division I-A schools, while the rest opted for I-AA, D-II or junior colleges.Temple's lone signee was linebacker Ty Neatherlin, who signed with I-AA Southwest Texas State."Southwest Texas approached me at midseason," said Neatherlin, one of three linebackers signed by the Bobcats.
