Council OKs 3 contracts
The Temple City Council on Thursday, at the last meeting with Mayor Keifer Marshall Jr. presiding, unanimously approved contracts to design a new animal shelter, market the changes in downtown and develop a business plan to make the Santa Fe Depot profitable.The 10,000-square-foot animal shelter is expected to cost at least $1 million, and the $67,500 contract to Michael Marrs Architects will allow the firm to expand a preliminary design it had created to give the council an idea of what a new layout might look like.Ideas for the plan were gathered by the city
