Council to decide on certificates

The Temple City Council will hear public comments at 5 p.m. today on the issuance and sale of $5.1 million in certificates of obligation and an ordinance which would allow the sale of alcohol on city property.After the public hearing, action on the two items is planned.The awarding of a $13.5 million contract for improvement to the water treatment plant and Loop 363 pump station modifications is also on the meeting's agenda in the public library while renovation work is done in the Municipal Building.The meeting will open with a public comment session for citizens to address the council on any subject matter. City Manager Mark Watson said he is expecting comments from the public on budget issues, the alcohol ordinance and the fate of the Railroad and Heritage Museum at the Santa Fe Depot
