Parks and Leisure Services Department employees learned fire safety procedures, including how to use a fire extinguisher, at a class Wednesday morning at the Frank W. Mayborn Civic and Convention Center.Jack Andrews, public education specialist for Temple Fire and Rescue, led the demonstration, which involved setting liquid propane on fire in a barrel and using fire extinguishers to extinguish it.About 50 department employees, including those of the Mayborn Center, staff of the Railroad and Heritage Museum and parks maintenance crews, watched the demonstration, with about 20 of those taking a turn at putting out the fire."This is a Class B fire
