The loss drops the Wildcats to 20-11 for the year and 4-5 in district going into the final regular season game at A&M Consolidated on Tuesday. If Temple beats A&M, the Wildcats could forge a three-way tie for third place at 5-5 with A&M and Waco, if the Lions defeat Copperas Cove on Tuesday. Bryan, meanwhile, has clinched the district title with an 8-1 mark and 26-4 overall.
