In the first day of the redistricting special session, two area legislators filed a redistricting map guideline that would keep Bell County whole within a compact Central Texas district.

Reps. Dianne White Delisi, R-Temple, and Suzanna Gratia Hupp, R-Lampasas, submitted an amendment to keep Bell County intact, and linking to Mills, Lampasas, Llano, Burnet and Coryell counties, as well as parts of Williamson, Travis and McLennan counties.
