Burrows lifted the ban from 9 a.m. Thursday through 9 a.m. Sunday.
The judge said he will revisit the situation Friday and — conditions permitting — he might keep the ban lifted through Tuesday morning’s commissioners court meeting.
The commissioners court enacted the burn ban Monday because of dry conditions.
When in place, a burn ban prohibits campfires and burning brush. Household trash can be burned, but only in screen-covered barrels.
Violation of the ban is a Class C misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of up to $500.
