Many area high school football fans are familiar with the stellar, steady play of linebackers Jacob Bane of Rogers, Aaron Fuller of Jarrell, and Torin Green of Rosebud-Lott.

Apparently, so are the writers from throughout Texas who covered the gridiron game in 2003.

Bane, Fuller, and Green were selected to the first team of the 53rd annual Texas Sports Writers Association Class 2A All-State Team, released Tuesday.

Seniors Fuller and Green gained spots on the elite squad for the second straight season, while junior Bane added a first-team berth to the second-team honor he received for the 2002 season.
