Monday night the Bell County fashion moguls handed down this year’s fashion trends from the prestigious Expo Center catwalk, and they can be summed up in one word: Individuality.
Are you cool under pressure and handy with a criminal mystery? The Sherlock Holmes outfit (complete with looking glass and hat), by Jessica Morgan, may be the look for you.
Have you always secretly wanted to wear a camo pullover but were afraid it you wouldn’t be able to pull it off? Follow Garret Marburger’s lead and wear camouflage with pride and self-assurance.
Love Dickens novels? A plaid, full-skirted frock with matching muff by Denise Bakken is just what you have been looking for.
Megan Harvell had the French chic ooh-la-la look covered in a black Capri jumper with fringed cuffs.
Pink, loose-fitting capris and the tailored, schoolgirl look are also hot right now.
And, as always, it's all about the accessories. Basketballs may be the new thing to carry around, taking the place of the old-fashioned purse. Basketballs were worn (and dribbled) by Taylor Marburger and Katelyn Morgan with their custom designed sportswear.
And if you’ve done any woodcarving lately, you might just tuck it under your arm before walking out the door, to follow the style of Peter Fasolino.
After the “New York-style” show featuring Pret-a-porter (that’s French for ready-to-wear) fashions, awards were presented to grinning young stylists.
