It looked like the Temple College softball team would never be able to open the 2004 season.

After rescheduling their season opener against Blinn due to rain, the Lady Leopards watched as an early rain threatened their opener once again.

But on a cold and wet Monday afternoon, the Lady Leopards got the 2004 season underway with a split against the San Jacinto Coyotes, winning the opener 7-4 and falling in the second game 7-5 at Danny Scott Athletic Complex.

The Coyotes improved to 6-1 and Temple moved to 1-1.
