At least 16 area high school football players plan to make their college plans official today when they sign national letters of intent, including Temple defensive back Derrick Williams with Kilgore College and three other District 13-5A stars with Big 12 Conference programs.

Killeen Shoemaker defensive tackle Roy Miller will sign with Texas, Harker Heights offensive tackle Michael Shumard with Texas A&M, and Killeen wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias with Oklahoma.

The other area players who plan to sign today with NCAA Division I-A programs are Killeen quarterback Columbus Givens with Southern Methodist and Copperas Cove offensive linemen Roberto Davis and Matt Schoonover with New Mexico State.

At the I-AA level, Heights defensive ends Treyvon Hocutt and Craig McCall are set to sign with Texas Southern and Cove running back Jonathan Woods with South Carolina State.
