Temple and Belton school districts fared the same in the Adequate Yearly Progress goals, according to preliminary results released by the Texas Education Agency late last week.

Two Temple school district middle schools failed to meet the AYP goals but the district as a whole made adequate progress.

The ratings are based on federal standards as part of the No Child Left Behind Act.
