One customer reported paying $2.65 per gallon at a Diamond Shamrock station while employees raised the price to $2.69 on the stores sign.
Later in the day, he reported the price had increased to $2.99 per gallon, an increase of 35 cents in a matter of hours.
Five stations in the survey had regular for $2.99 per gallon. The lowest station surveyed was the Exxon at Marlandwood Road and 5th Street, with regular for $2.76 per gallon. Two days before, the highest price in a Temple survey was $2.89, and the lowest was $2.49 per gallon.
