LAMPASAS - The work three sculptors have performed as part of an Art in the Park project has been no walk in the park for the artists. They worked for the past two weeks to create the first sculptures for a sculpture garden at Hanna Springs Park despite the threat of Hurricane Rita and a record heat wave.
David Hickman, Carolann Haggard and T.J. Mabrey made Hanna Springs Park their outdoor studio for the past two weeks, performing the sculpting equivalent of a live concert. The work has been as intense as the heat.
