Temple Elks Lodge No. 138 honored law enforcement and emergency officials from the surrounding area Saturday night at the sixth annual Policeman, Fireman and EMT/Paramedic Awards Banquet.

The 11 recipients received plaques in recognition of outstanding service to their communities.

U.S. Rep. John Carter, R-Round Rock, who was one of the guest speakers at the event, thanked all of the recipients for their contributions.
