2 arson suspects arrsted; Warrants issued for third in Temple High fire

Two male suspects were taken into custody and charged with burglary and arson in connection with a fire at Temple High School last week, reported Lt. Rick Ashe of the Temple Police Department.

One of the suspects, a Temple juvenile, was taken to Bell County Juvenile Detention in Killeen. A second suspect, Christopher Garza, 17, of Temple was in the Bell County jail Thursday. No bond had been set.

Police have two warrants out on a third suspect, a 20-year-old Temple man. Officers have talked to him and now that the warrants have been issued, Ashe said he only needs to be picked up. Ashe said 17-year-olds are treated as adults under the criminal justice system, except in the case of the death penalty.
