Ernesto Manriquez started things off for Temple in the 3-0 win, scoring on a free kick past a Bulldawg defense that was still setting up just 2:10 into the game.
Cameron Gilmore added the second goal of the first half for the Wildcats (11-6-3 overall, 5-3 district). The ball was rolling out of bounds and a Cove defender gave up pursuit. Gilmore ran past the defender to the ball, passed a second defender and beat the goalkeeper.
