The Diamond Shamrock station at 1st Street and Avenue H sold regular for $2.74 per gallon, the lowest price in the survey. The GK Mart at Avenue M and 31st Street had regular for $2.76 per gallon. Two other stations, the Shell at Avenue M and 31st Street and the CEFCO Exxon at Central Avenue and 25th Street, had regular for $2.79 per gallon.
The national average price of regular stayed at the Wednesday price of $2.92 per gallon, the American Automobile Association reported. The average price in Texas dropped a penny since Wednesday to $2.88 per gallon.
