AUSTIN (AP) - The Texas Senate tentatively approved three major parts of a school funding plan Monday, including a $3.4 billion business tax plan.

Senators voted 18-13 to adopt the House version of the business tax without changes. It still needs final approval by the Senate before it goes to Gov. Rick Perry
